I've commenced reading the second Outlander novel, "Dragonfly in Amber".
The novel has started in modern times for Claire. She is in Scotland with her daughter Brianna, looking into what happened to Jamie's men (not Jamie because she knows he died of course) and to find a way to let her daughter know who her father really is ... was. Employing the help of Roger Wakefield (MacKenzie), Claire is able to find out what happened to some of the men from Lallybroch, though Roger keeps coming across the name Jamie Fraser, though he doesn't appear on Claire's list. She informs him she knows he died on the field of Culloden.
After finding the location of Johnathon Randall's grave, Roger takes Claire and Brianna (Bree is very excited about this because it is her "daddy's" ancestor, therefore hers) to the kirk at St Kilda to see the grave site, though Brianna insists it stays a secret to surprise her mother.
Claire unexpectedly comes across the grave of James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser .. her husband and not where she expected to find him. Claire now begins the tale of her life in Scotland, 200 years in the past.
